Hannah returns to her late grandpa’s house in Hull to clear it out. Among his photographs, prayer book and the small objects of a life lived, she uncovers fragments of a Jewish family history shaped by flight, survival and solidarity — resurfacing, repeating, incomplete.

As the war in Gaza presses quietly into the house, her family’s story of persecution and exile can no longer be invoked to justify another people’s suffering.
